Happy Halloween! My first ever published story is coming out tomorrow at Expanded Horizons. Check it out, and consider donating to the zine. I'm about to start NaNoWriMo; I'm going to write Princes of Iron (formerly known as Heart of Stone). Good luck to my fellow WriMos!

As you can tell by the lack of updates, I'm busy. I'm attending YaoiCon here in a few days, and I'm working on an old west + steampunk project with Jeff and Michael. While I'm in California I get to visit my friend Eliza, which is an even better reason to go south than a gay Japanese adult cartoon convention. I mean, a kitten convention. For people who love kittens. That's where I'm going.

I added aquaria to "interests." There's also a bonus, not-exactly-hidden treasure if you click the key. The Iron Springs Retreat was amazing! I'll be there next year. I hope to see you too--you can find details here. (If that time of year doesn't work for you, check out Rainforest--I'll be there too). I was going to say something funny, but I only bought a finite amount of good jokes with my soul, so I should use them in A Noble Quest... instead of wasting them here.

I added some photos to the House Tour, and an excerpt for A Noble Quest.... My main crit group is trying to put together a more official organization to collect Bellingham writers of all genres, both non-fiction and fiction. We're still stuck on a name, and no one else seems to like "Whatcom County Mutant Cannibal Writer Sharks With Laser Eyes Collective" as much as I do.

My NaNoWriMo project for 2007 was a multiple-endings novel called Nikki 9Lives and the Crowns of Faerie. It's still in need of some tweaking (and approval from the real Nikki9Lives, on whom I based the main character!) but it should be up before you can say "cat's pajamas" a hundred billion times. I've been critiquing a lot lately, so thanks for the brain exercise, OWW members and attendees of Iron Springs Writer's Retreat--the analysis practice is helping me picture plot structure as easily as I can picture hot celebrities without clothes.

I haven't bored the Internet with a personal website in years, but it pissed me off last week by not having enough photos of hot drag queens, so I figured I'd get it back with dull tales of me me me. Check back soon for free content--I haven't decided what to offer yet. If there's a specific kind of story you'd like to see up here (horror? sci-fi? fantasy? new weird? mainstream pulitzer-winning literary fiction?) e-mail me or leave me a comment in my blog. I'll order the captive third-world orphans in my basement to start work on it immediately.

Testing. If my website's skirt flies up and you can see my pretty pink code, please tell me!
